A ready-to-eat anchoïade delight, for all your good times
To toast bread, accompany a classic aperitif or make dishes with a Provençal flavor, anchoïade is a must-have to always have on hand. With our artisanal anchoïade delight, save time while enjoying a preparation with an exquisite taste!
Anchoïade, a Provençal specialty with a taste of sunshine
Traditionally associated with the summer season, anchoïade brings a little taste of summer to our plates. A specialty of the South and the Mediterranean region, it evokes summer holidays, the sea and the song of cicadas.
It is prepared using anchovies from which the head and bones are removed. The fish is marinated with various condiments and spices, including capers and garlic, which enhance its beautiful sunny flavor. The mixture is bound with olive oil, a key ingredient in Mediterranean specialties.
With this anchoïade delight, you have an excellent artisanal recipe , a real concentrate of flavors that will not fail to amaze you. It can be enjoyed in a thousand ways, as an aperitif, starter or main course.
How to enjoy the anchoïade delight?
Anchoïade is perfect for toast as an aperitif and for garnishing bread during a cold meal, especially on a picnic.
You can also serve it with raw vegetables: quartered carrots, celery hearts, cucumber, radishes, peppers or even shredded endives that are presented with hard-boiled eggs, and that are dipped in the sauce before enjoying. It is an excellent way to eat a vitamin-packed aperitif, instead of the usual not very healthy chips. If you don't like raw vegetables, try leek whites, asparagus or blanched cauliflower.
As a starter , anchoïade goes very well with a carpaccio of young zucchini, and is deliciously integrated into a bruschetta. For a light land-and-sea meal, serve the anchovy delight with a salad of beef carpaccio and fennel flavored with chilli and peanuts. Anchoïade also goes deliciously with burrata. Finally, if you are looking for a quick recipe, prepare red mullet fillets served on a bed of anchoïade, accompanied by a mixed salad for a tasty and balanced meal.
Anchovy delight is also a great ingredient for a quick and tasty snack . Spread it on a crouton or a slice of bread that you toast crust side down. You will get a toast that looks ordinary but tastes exceptional.
How to preserve the anchoïade delight?
The can of anchoïade is easy to store: just store it in a cool, dry place, such as a pantry or cupboard. You can therefore keep several cans in anticipation of aperitifs and small cravings.
Once opened, cover the can and place it in the refrigerator. The anchoïade can be kept for a few days. But, let's be honest, there's no reason for it to stay there for that long... ...
