Red Wine Saucisson – Ardèche PGI Petit Bridé with Saint-Joseph PDO
Made according to the traditional recipe of Ardèche saucisson, our Ardèche PGI Petit Bridé with Saint-Joseph PDO red wine embodies the perfect alliance between ancestral know-how and original taste. We add whole peppercorns and Saint-Joseph red wine, an emblematic appellation on the Ardèche bank of the Rhône. The result: a wine-infused dry-cured saucisson with subtly richer flavours, a strong peppery note on the palate, and an elegant tannic touch. The wine itself is not perceived as such, but it enriches the aromatic depth of this exceptional saucisson.
A globally awarded saucisson
🏆 Voted best saucisson in the world in 2023, our red wine Petit Bridé stood out among hundreds of products from over 40 countries. This competition of excellence is based on four criteria: taste, health, traceability, and origin of ingredients.
Artisan charcuterie, an authentic taste
This artisan red wine saucisson is made from 100% French pork. Our master charcutiers favour noble cuts, coarsely chopped, to guarantee texture and taste. Without artificial colours, the meat is simply seasoned with pepper, spices, and Saint-Joseph red wine.
The meat is encased in a natural casing, then hand-tied with linen thread, using an artisanal method passed down from generation to generation. The saucisson is then air-dried for 4 to 6 weeks, under the ideal conditions of the Ardèche mid-mountains. A natural grey-green mould thus forms on the surface, a sign of controlled maturation.
A local saucisson, with Ardèche PGI label
Proud of its origins, this wine-infused saucisson benefits from the Protected Geographical Indication (Ardèche PGI), which guarantees a strong link with its territory and a manufacturing method respectful of traditions.
