Tasting advice

1. Take the saucisson out at least 15 minutes before serving.
2. Our saucissons are dry-cured: they are eaten as they are, with no cooking.
3. Cut thin slices for an authentic tasting experience.

The saucisson Advent calendar, in a smaller format

Twenty-four doors, twenty-four days of December, and behind each one something to start the apéritif with. This box brings together 70 pieces for 476 g of artisan charcuterie, made in our workshops in the Ardèche. No chocolate, no gimmicks: only dry-cured saucisson.

It is the short version of our saucisson Advent calendar: the same production, the same standards, a more compact format and a gentler entry price.

Please note before ordering: the calendar is shipped separately from the rest of the shop. It must therefore be ordered on its own, in a separate order from your other products.

Three mini saucissons a day, a truffle saucisson to finish

Twenty-three doors contain three grignottes each, the last one a 90 g whole truffle saucisson. Most saucisson calendars offer only a single piece a day. Three changes the nature of the thing: the calendar is shared instead of being nibbled alone in a corner.

What is in the box

Sixty-nine grignottes, seven flavours

Spread across the first twenty-three doors: pure pork, hazelnut, tomato and oregano, Cantal, olives, truffle and Parmesan. Two of these flavours are cheese-based — the cheese is worked into the meat mixture during production, it is not packed separately.

One whole truffle saucisson

Ninety grams to slice and share, behind the last door. It is the piece that tips the box from daily nibbling to a shared apéritif, on the evening of the 24th.

An original calendar for the whole family

With three pieces a day, the box is shared without any squabbling: everyone gets their own. It is probably the easiest Christmas present to get right — it requires no particular knowledge of the recipient, they just need to like saucisson, and it is unlike anything else they will receive.

If you are looking for other ideas for the festive season, see our gourmet Christmas gift boxes.

Made by us, in the Ardèche

We are not resellers. This calendar is made in our workshops in Joyeuse, in the southern Ardèche, by the artisans of Charcuteries Debroas.

The meat is exclusively of French origin. The whole saucisson is stuffed into a natural pork casing, then tied by hand. Next comes the warming stage, which starts fermentation, then drying in the drying room, where the dry air of the Cévennes does the rest. Allow three weeks. No drying accelerators, no colourings.

It is this slow process that explains the natural grey bloom on the surface: it is edible, and it is a sign of well-controlled drying rather than a defect. We have devoted a whole article to it.

For businesses, works councils and resellers

Stand out from your competitors with an artisan calendar that is innovative and full of flavour. The compact format makes it an end-of-year gift that is easy to budget for and to hand out, and it keeps the recipient busy throughout December rather than for a single evening.

Business orders are shipped first, from 3 November, which leaves time to hand them out before the holidays. Volume pricing and terms are on our professional area, along with a page dedicated to associations, works councils and schools.

Pre-order, dispatch and delivery

Our calendars are produced in a limited edition. Every year they sell out before the end of November, and every year we turn down orders in December. Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee yours.

  • The calendar is ordered on its own — it is shipped separately, so you need a separate order for your other products
  • Business customers — dispatch from 3 November 2026
  • Private customers — dispatch from 18 November 2026
  • Delivery guaranteed before 1 December for any pre-order placed before 25 November
  • Delivery in 48 to 72 hours, to your home or to a pick-up point, free of charge

Payment is taken when you pre-order: that is what reserves your box. You receive a tracking email as soon as it is dispatched.

Storage and tasting

Store the box in a cool, dry place, below 18 °C. A fridge is not necessary, but it will help the saucissons keep for longer: if you use one, take them out 15 to 30 minutes before eating.

Once their door is open, the grignottes dry out quickly given their size — they are best eaten within the following days. The whole saucisson, on the other hand, keeps for several weeks. Take it out about twenty minutes before slicing: a saucisson at room temperature releases far more aroma.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from the large calendar?
The format. The large box holds 87 pieces for 818 g, with four grignottes a day and three whole saucissons. This one holds 70 for 476 g, with three grignottes a day and one whole truffle saucisson. The production is the same.

How many doors does the calendar have?
Twenty-four, one a day until Christmas. Twenty-three contain three grignottes, the last one a whole dry-cured truffle saucisson.

What is the total weight?
476 g net, or 70 pieces.

Can I order other products at the same time as the calendar?
No. The calendar is shipped separately from the rest of the shop: you need to place a separate order for your other saucissons.

Is there pork in every piece?
Yes. The entire box is made from pork of French origin.

Does it contain cheese?
Two of the seven grignotte flavours are cheese-based: Cantal and Parmesan. The cheese is worked into the meat mixture; there are no separate pieces of cheese in the box.

When will I receive my advent calendar?

The saucisson advent calendar is sold as a pre-order: dispatch begins in November 2026, around 3 November for business customers and around 18 November for private customers. You receive a tracking email as soon as your parcel leaves us. Delivery is guaranteed before 1 December for any pre-order placed before 25 November.

How is the advent calendar delivered?

The calendar is delivered with the same shipping options as the rest of the shop: pick-up point (Mondial Relay or Colissimo), home delivery (Colissimo) or Chronopost. You choose at checkout, and the exact amount is shown once you have entered your address.
With delivery to a Mondial Relay pick-up point, shipping is free from €20 of purchase in France, Monaco, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands: both formats of the calendar qualify. In the other European Union countries we serve, it is free from €40, so for the large format.
It has to be ordered on its own: as a pre-order it leaves on its own dispatch date, in an order separate from your other products.

When am I charged if I pre-order?

Payment is taken immediately at the time of pre-order: that is what secures your box.

Can I order other products at the same time as the calendar?

No. For logistical reasons the calendar ships separately from the rest of the shop: you need to place a separate order for your other products.

Y a-t-il des allergènes dans le calendrier ?

Yes. Every recipe in the box contains milk, in the form of lactose, and two of the seven Grignottes flavours contain cheese: Cantal and Parmesan, both worked into the mix during production. One flavour contains tree nuts: hazelnut. The whole summer truffle sausage behind the last door contains no allergen other than milk. Our sausages are made in a facility that also handles tree nuts. The full ingredient list for each recipe appears on its own product page.

How long can I keep the advent calendar?

Each mini salami carries a best-before date on its packaging and generally keeps for several weeks. Store the box below 18 °C; the sausages are naturally subject to drying out.

What should I do if my parcel does not arrive?

Do not worry: if you have had no tracking or your parcel is running late, contact us. We open an enquiry with the carrier and find a solution quickly.

Will I receive my calendar before 1 December?

Yes, provided you pre-order before 25 November. We dispatch the calendars from 18 November to keep the saucissons at their best, and delivery then takes 48 to 72 hours.
