Christmas charcuterie gift boxes made in the Ardèche, not assembled somewhere else
A good gift box comes down to three things: what is inside, how it is presented, and knowing who made it. Our Christmas boxes are put together in our workshops in Joyeuse, in the southern Ardèche, by the craftsmen of Charcuteries Debroas. We are not resellers: the salami you give comes out of our own drying rooms, filled into natural casing and matured for several weeks.
That is the most useful difference to know when comparing gift boxes: most of the sites selling them do not make them. Buying from the charcutier means paying for the product rather than the chain of middlemen.
Which box suits your budget
Under €10 — the Minissons
Shaped mini salami, in Christmas, piglet or Zizi versions. The small gift that raises a smile: for a Christmas stocking, a festive table, or a secret santa.
Around €20 — the cigar salami gift box
Five dry-cured sausages in packaging that echoes Cuban cigar boxes. Five flavours — pure pork, Cantal, walnut, herbes de Provence, Beaufort — to show what a recipe really changes about the taste. This is the box people give to someone whose preferences they do not know yet.
Around €50 — the advent calendar and the Christmas box
Our saucisson advent calendar has 24 doors, 87 pieces and 818 g: twenty-one doors hold four mini salami each, the last three a whole dry-cured sausage. We were the first to put whole sausages in the doors — which is what makes it shareable rather than a solitary affair.
Above that — the filled hampers
To give to several people, to a family, or in a professional setting, our hampers and boxes bring together several of our charcuterie references in a presentation ready to be given.
Corporate and staff gifts
Christmas boxes are one of our most requested formats for corporate gifting, for three reasons: almost everyone likes them, they are easy to distribute, and they do not end up at the back of a cupboard.
Business orders ship first, from 3 November, which leaves time to hand them out before the holidays. Volume pricing and terms on request.
Pre-order, dispatch and dates
Our Christmas boxes are made in limited quantities. Every year they sell out before the end of November, and every year we have to turn down orders in December: pre-ordering is the only way to secure yours.
- Business customers — dispatch from 3 November 2026
- Private customers — dispatch from 23 November 2026
- Delivery guaranteed before 1 December for any pre-order placed before 25 November
- The advent calendar is ordered on its own: it ships separately from the rest of the shop, so you will need a distinct order for your other products
Frequently asked questions
Which gift box should you give a real charcuterie lover?
Look at the total weight and whether whole sausages are included, rather than the number of pieces, which is easily inflated with very small formats. A connoisseur will appreciate three sausages to slice more than a multitude of mouthfuls.
Can the advent calendar be ordered with other products?
No. The calendar ships separately, on its own pre-order schedule: you need a distinct order for your other saucissons.
How long does the charcuterie in a gift box keep?
Keep the box somewhere dry and cool, below 18 °C. The fridge is neither necessary nor ideal: damp cold softens the casing. Small formats dry out quickly once opened and are best eaten within the following days; a whole dry-cured sausage keeps for several weeks.
Is the grey bloom on the sausage normal?
Yes, and it is a good sign. It is a noble mould, edible, which protects the product and takes part in its maturing. It is the mark of slow, traditional drying. If you would rather not have it, simply rub the sausage before slicing.
Do you deliver outside France?
We deliver within the European Union. Germany is our second market.
Do you take group orders for a company or a works council?
Yes, with volume pricing and priority dispatch from 3 November. Get in touch and we will set it up.
